style="text-align: left;">Burke was scheduled to play a show in Amsterdam on Tuesday but was pronounced dead at the Schiphol Airport.

style="text-align: left;">Solomon was a former preacher and was signed to the same record label as Ray Charles in the 1960′s.

style="text-align: left;">The singers most famous songs include “Cry To Me” and “Everybody Needs Somebody to Love”.

style="text-align: left;">Solomon Burke was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001 and also won a Grammy in 2003.

style="text-align: left;">Burke is survived by 21 children and 90 grandchildren.

style="text-align: left;">His family released a statement saying:

style="text-align: left;">“Early this morning, our father passed away due to natural causes,” Burke’s family said today in a statement on the singer’s website. “Although our hearts and lives will never be the same, his love, life and music will continue to live within us forever,” they said.
